LAS VEGAS (KSNV) – The Springs Preserve announces engaging events and exhibits for May and June 2025 to provide enjoyment and education to all visitors.
The well-recognized Butterfly Habitat will remain open until May 26 for visitors to observe and appreciate free-flying butterflies in pollination. Meanwhile, the Mariposa Splash Pad has opened so children ages 2-5 have a safe and cool place to play.
The Spring Garden Series is for those interested in gardening and offers hands-on classes on peppers, cacti, and succulents. On May 15, there will be a Master Gardener Class for beginners on starting edible gardens, while Desert Gardening 101 will teach the pragmatics of growing drought-tolerant plants.
Trending for the season is the Brick Planet show from May 17 to September 8. The show is DFA-CE by LEGO artist Sean Kenney, combining art and science with the use of LEGO bricks to depict Earth’s ecosystems.
Weekend programming includes the Springs Safari (paleontology in May, water derricks in June), Conservation for Kids (endangered species and water conservation), and the Nature Exchange Badge Class, which covers archaeology and hydrology topics.
Springs Preserve is located three miles away from the famous Las Vegas Strip. It is a huge 180-acre cultural center with environmental sustainability, desert life, and community education functioning as its major focuses.
